Theres a brand new tinted windows forum here http://www.tinted-windows.net/community/ and there is currently a site being made as we speak http://www.tinted-windows.net/

Check it out, join in the discussions :-)

Some of you may have heard some buzz recently about Tinted Windows, a new band (or as some are calling it, a "supergroup") featuring Taylor Hanson of Hanson, James Iha of the Smashing Pumpkins, Adam Schlesinger of Fountains of Wayne, and Bun E. Carlos of Cheap Trick. The band is playing a showcase at the South by Southwest Music Festival in Austin, TX this March, and their debut album is set to release on April 21st, 2009.

I've created a new LJ community in which people will be able to get new information about the band's shows and their upcoming album as it is released, and I'm inviting fans of all four of the members' bands to join in on the discussion.

If you're interested, please join and watch tintedwindowshq.

Thank you!!!

This is an after party for Cheap Trick in NYC after their 1978 show at The Palladium. I was at this show. The ticket price was $6.50. The Palladium is long gone, replaced by NYU College Dorms and a Trader Joe's. It's an interesting time capsule with interviews with the band and various other NY musicians and industry people.

Yesterday I met a man named Aidan that was telling us about the year he got to work with Cheap Trick. It was about 4 or 5 years ago. This one particular occasion, Aidan had his son with him, who was 7 at the time. The bands and crew were all having their catered dinner before the show. Rick Nielsen decided to make faces at the boy. The boy made faces back. Rick makes another face. The boy grabs a handful of spaghetti and pelts it directly at Rick. Aidan, mortified, approaches Rick and offers him anything. To clean his shirt, a new shirt all together, a kidney, etc. Rick says "Are you kidding? I'm going on just the way I am!"

What a guy!

Cheap Trick are going to be featured on the sequel to the Rock Band video game. They're tacking on "Hello There" which is a bit of a strange choice if you ask me, but I can't wait to play!

In case you didn't know, "Dream Police" is featured on the latest edition of Guitar Hero, GH Aerosmith, and it's a lot of fun to play!

OK, I'm as gidy as a school girl. (and I'm going to be almost 30 soon, and I'm a guy)

I am going to see Cheap Trick live at the Convocation Center here at NIU on Saturday night.

I don't know if I can take pictures, I hope so.

:-)
